UPDATED COVID-19 GUIDELINES AND RULES

Current Pool Hours:  11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday thru Sunday


In connection with Governor Abbott’s emergency orders and CDC guidelines, the Association has adopted the following procedures:
  • DO NOT USE THE POOL IF YOU HAVE A COUGH, FEVER, CHILLS, REPEATED SHAKING WITH CHILLS, MUSCLE ACHES, HEADACHE, SORE THROAT, LOSS OF TASTE OR SMELL, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, PINK EYE OR OTHER SYMPTOMS ASSOCIATED WITH COVID-19.
  • Residents are prohibited from using the pool until the household has returned a signed waiver to the Association. Signed waivers may be submitted via email to amartinez@nmitx.comCLICK HERE FOR WAIVER FORM
  • Owners with delinquent accounts will not have their cards activated until the account is paid in full and will not be allowed access to the pool.
  • A signed waiver is required for anyone that enters the pool area.
  • All pool access cards have been deactivated and will be reactivated upon the Association’s receipt of the waiver. No new cards will be issued on-site. Please note, the pool access gates are managed by a third-party vendor, so there may be a processing delay in gate lock updates. To avoid delays, all residents are encouraged to submit their waivers to the Association as soon as possible.
  • All members of a household must sit together in order to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus.
  • Per the Governor’s guidance, the pool capacity may not exceed 50% and therefore will be limited to 50 occupants.
  • Guests are prohibited until further notice.
  • All residents must practice social distancing of 6 feet between groups.
  • Restrooms will remain CLOSED
  • Amenity Center and Gym will remain CLOSED
  • Residents who elect to utilize the pool:
    • Acknowledge the risk of exposure to the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
    • Assume full responsibility for any illness, injury, or death to you, your family that may result from the use of the pool facilities.
    • Assume full responsibility for cleaning and disinfecting your hands and any pool facility surfaces that you may touch.
  • Adherence to these rules will need to be self-managed by the residents. If residents fail to follow these rules are not followed, the Association may have no choice but to close the pool facilities.
  • These rules are subject to change at any time.
  • If an active case of COVID-19 is reported, the pool will be closed until proper disinfecting is performed.

Pool Guidelines

Upon purchasing your new home in Cypress Meadows, you became a member of the Homeowners' Association (HOA).  All HOA members - in good standing - have access to the community pool and amenity center.  At the present time, the amenity center is open year-round for access to the clubhouse, fitness room, etc. To enter the amenity center and/or pool area, you must have a key card to access the areas. One key card is allowed per household and cards are good year after year.  If you do not have a card or are in need of a replacement card ($25), contact NMI by e-mail at poolkey@nmitx.com.  Remember, it is not recommended that anyone swim alone and there is No Lifeguard on Duty so supervision of children is MANDATORY.

Pool Rules

  • WARNING - NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY—SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK
  • In Case of an Emergency, DIAL 911 
  • Do Not Alter or Remove Safety Equipment
  • Swimming Alone Is Not Recommended
  • Persons With Contagious Disease, Diarrhea, Skin Abrasions, Or Open Infected Sores Will Not Be Allowed In The Pool
  • Proper Swim Attire Required--Swim Diapers Must Be Worn By Non-Potty Trained Children At All Times While In The Pool
  • Children 14 and Under Must Have An Adult (18 or Older) In Attendance
  • All Children Must Be Supervised
  • Each Household May Bring Up To 4 Guests To Pool Area
  • No Decorations Are Allowed Within The Pool, Setting, or Cabana Areas
  • No Glass Is Permitted Inside Pool Gates
  • No Running or Diving
  • No Rough Play or Pushing
  • No Pets, Except Service Animals, Allowed Inside Pool Gates (TX State Health Code 265.203-F)
  • No Skateboards, Bikes, Scooters, Or Roller Blades Inside Amenity Center or Pool Gates
  • No Food Or Beverage In Or Near The Water
  • No Smoking
  • Music Must Be Kept At A Non-Offensive Level
  • Residents Are Encouraged To Contact The Allen Police Department If Non-HOA Residents Are Discovered Using the Amenity Center or Community Pool

It is the responsibility of each resident to see that these rules are enforced in order to maintain a safe pool area for the use and recreation of all concerned.  The Board of Directors has the obligation and right to suspend the membership and pool privileges of any member who abuses their privilege or creates a safety hazard.
